New Beginnings

It's been awhile since I did this whole blog thing, so bear with me.

As some of you might know (or maybe you've all just completely forgotten, since it's been so friggin' long), I once had a blog, using the same name, where I reviewed lip balm and only lip balm. And boy, what a blog it was. It was probably the most kickass undiscovered little gem in all the world (wide web), but alas... It was hacked and essentially destroyed by quite possibly the worst person to ever have lived. This may or may not have been the result of my own carelessness, but it's in the past, so.. You know.. Let's move on.

It's been difficult for me to make the decision to start over again, because let's face it.. Losing two years of hard work in the blink of an eye is pretty hard to just get over. Some people might be able to bounce back without so much as a hiccup, but I can't say I'm one of those people. I did make an attempt at a feeble comeback a while ago on my former blog host, but I should probably put some emphasis on that "feeble" there, because my heart really wasn't in it. But now, after about a year and a half of zero blogging, I'm finally ready to jump back into the blogging world.

Please. Calm your applause. I'm not finished yet.


Now that I've made my grand entrance, I do want to lay some things out on the table.

As I previously mentioned, I spent two years of my former blogging life reviewing lip balm. As much as I still adore lip balm (I mean, who doesn't? It softens your lips, it smells good, it feels good.. Sigh..), I have grown to love many things in the World Of Beauty. I want to talk about those things. And, AND! There are also things I want to bitch about. I want to write about these things. So, even though I'm still going to write about lip balm, I'm mixing some other things in there too. I can't say what I'll write about more often. I'm not sticking to any sort of schedule here at this point. Hell, there might even be a random "personal blog" thrown in every now and then. Who knows what'll happen! The possibilities are endless! Doesn't that get you so excited?! Eh.. Right.. Moving on.. 

I should also mention that I have another love in my life, and that is YouTube. YouTube and I have had an on-going relationship for almost three years now, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I'm going to be posting most, if not all, of my videos here, and I plan on tying together a lot of my blog entries and YT videos (i.e., monthly favorite posts to coincide with monthly favorite videos). Trust me, this is a good thing. I'm excited. You excited? Good. Let's all just be excited together.

Anyway, I guess that will be it for now. I'm still working out the kinks and adding things here and there to the layout, but I'd say it's pretty much done for now. Well, that is, until Mr. Balmaholic makes me some fancy shmancy graphics to adorn the place with. Expect some posts from me to pop up soon, and.. See you then?
