Wishing & Hoping: Beauty Lusts

In want of regularly updating this blog whilst trying to get my blog-related affairs in order (getting the layout settled, charging my damn camera battery, downloading my old image editing software, etc.), I figured I'd hop on here and post something that I think we can all relate to: a beauty wishlist.

Okay, you got me. The reason why I decided to type this up is because I'm sitting here with about four different websites open, adding a bunch of crap to my carts, wishing I had an unlimited credit line to buy it all and unlimited funds to pay it off. And basically, I just wanted to tell someone about it. Oh, and I also just want to regularly update this blog, but mostly because I wanted to share my lemmings with you.

First, we have the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar Petal. This is probably the item I'm most lusting over right now. Funnily enough, I'm not the biggest fan of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. I've used the plain ol' original version a couple times, and I just find it okay. Not bad, but definitely not worth the $22 price tag, in my opinion. I do like their tinted balms, however, and this one is really calling my name. Well, it's more like a nagging whisper, actually. Like a tiny little angel in the shape of a balm tube is sitting on my shoulder, whispering, buy me, Kelsey, buy me now...

Then there's the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. This is one of those products I've been staring at for years. Literally. Years! Why I don't just buy it, I don't know. Oh, wait, that's right. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's a whoppin' $52, but ugh, everybody sings it's praises as though it were the greatest primer ever to grace the faces of the angels. This is one of those things I know I'll eventually buy, but I'll probably add it to my cart, and remove it, about 498792837 times before I finally take the plunge. Just because.

The Tarte BB Tinted Treatment is something I already know is a kickass product. I had received a deluxe sample of it in a recent Sephora order, and it seriously rocked my socks. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say it's even better than my favorite tinted moisturizer (also by Tarte). I'll definitely be buying me some of this as soon as that sample kicks the bucket.

This Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs in 04 Les Bois De Rose has been an object of my desires for awhile now. Ever since I saw Makeup Never Sleeps use this in one of her amazing tutorials, I have drooled over this quad. But you know, guys, the thing is, I have a really hard time spending $60 ($60?! Holy moly, they jacked the price up even more!) on a quad. Not because I'm afraid I won't like them, but because I'm literally petrified of loving them and not wanting to use anything else. It's bad enough I have a serious love affair goin' on with Burberry's eyeshadow singles. But that's another entry entirely..

You know, on Nostrom's website, this image looks enormous. So, if you find yourself staring at a ginormous picture of Giorgio Armani's Maestro Eraser, and you find it offensive, I apologize. But let me tell you.. I want that concealer, and I want it bad. I do blame part of that lust on the fact that I'm absolutely obsessed with their Maestro Fusion Foundation, and I only have to assume that the concealer is just as amazing. I also have to assume that the concealer works damn well with the foundation, since they're in the same family, and the foundation is so testy when it comes to using other concealers with it. This is one product I will definitely purchase as soon as I have the cash to shell out for it.

And this is when I stop torturing myself. For now.

Do you like these types of posts? What products are you currently lusting over?

  5. I've been lusting after a Guerlain quad ever since Temptalia mentioned the one she wore for her wedding day. Of course, THAT one was LE. Pfft. Also, I need to eventually spew out the big bucks on the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer. Yes, NEED. But, right now at the top of my lust list is the new Ambient Light powders by Hourglass. I mean.....seriously...they look amazing.

  6. I can't do it! I can't spend $60 dollars on a quad. I mean physically. I'll make a plan to. I say f the budget, I'm treating myself, and then at the last second I cave and go buy 6 wet n wild palettes instead.
